About Us

Our Message

Manchester has always been at the forefront when it comes to expression, community, acceptance and supporting one another yet somehow when it comes to things such as fetish and kink we have fallen 20 years behind.

It's time to catch up and be at the cutting edge once again. We need to show the world how we stand together to create a safe, educational and most importantly fun space for all genders, all sexual orientations and every fetish.

Whether you are a seasoned pro, an occasional kinkster, or just a curious person finding out what makes you tick, we want to create a safe and fun environment for you all to enjoy.

Don't worry all you lovely cruisers we are also planning some cruise play rooms for you. As we say after all, it's a safe space for one and all!

Throughout our events we want to support all fetish groups, organisations and acts, if you want to showcase who you are and what you do then we encourage you to contact us. It might be an event you run, fetish class you teach, studio space, fetish blog, fetish shop, an act you are passionate about or even a topic you would love a panel discussions to be about and the list goes on!

We are super hyped and excited to bring you the best weekend full of fetish fun! We really look forward to meeting you there!

Meet The Team

Dan

Dan

Hi,

I’m Dan, the director and founder of MFW.

My passion for the event comes from my many years of being a kinkster, mixed with my love for my partner Isla, and my background in youth work. I have been a part of Manchester Rubber group; you may have already been on the stage, in the vac cube, at my mercy.

I wanted to create an event where all are welcome, and that also provides education on vital topics. We have been working with many partners, including Manchester City Council, to provide training to all venue/door/mfw staff on crucial things - such as safeguarding and consent.

Isla

Hiya,

I'm Isla and I am part of the MFW core team.

I'm super excited to help deliver such a diverse event for the whole community.

As a trans woman living in Manchester, I feel it's important that we create a safe space where we can learn and explore who we are.

I've been a part of fetish and kink pretty much my whole adult life - I'm sure if you speak to Dan, he will tell you some funny stories about that.

Dan and I are partners and live together in Manchester with our gorgeous doggo Ted.

I'm super excited to meet you all in a few weeks!

Rory

Hey there, I’m Rory (He/They), a queer Scottish gearhead and member of the MFW core team. Since I moved to Manchester in 2023, I’ve been exploring the fetish and kink scene and had some great experiences, leading me to join the passionate team putting together Manchester’s first weekend-long inclusive fetish event.

Behind the scenes, I work primarily on design and marketing and support the delivery of the event as a whole. Organising MFW has given me a glimpse of a world of fetish and kink that is beautifully diverse, and I’m excited to see everyone come together for something extraordinary in Manchester.

Stay kinky lovelies and I hope to meet many of you soon!

Monique

My name is Monique and I am on the MFW team, mainly organising with artist and performers. I am a musician and also teach music to young beans. My background is mostly business and events management.

I’m so excited to meet you all, hope your having a lovely evening.

Kieran

Kieran

Kieran is excited to be a part of MFW for its first year! A well needed addition to the ever-growing and vibrant Queer scene in Manchester. In 2020 Kieran graduated from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) - that same year he founded Sodomite Queer Arts Collective, a Queer Theatre lead organisation that focuses on representing underrepresented creatives. Kieran wrote and produced his debut play ‘Killer Queen’, funded by Arts Council England in 2021 and has since curated cabarets, scratch nights and performances for Homobloc. In 2023 Kieran decided to branch out and combine his love for Theatre with Nightlife, creating their club night Sodom - a Queer kink-friendly Art Rave.

Alongside Sodomite & Club Sodom, Kieran is also the Artistic Director of Stoggaf & Hedonist - a London based Queer collective. To date they have organised art exhibitions, socials & club nights. When Kieran isn’t working on either of these projects, he is also a professional Actor seeking work for Theatre & Screen; most recently he performed in ‘Algebra’, a new Queer play written by Stuart Crowther.

Working credits aside, Kieran is also a raging homo and kinkster! For over a decade now he has attended many events in London, Manchester and internationally. The Queer & Kink scene is now personally and creatively a huge part of his life and he can’t wait to do more!

Ben

Ben

Hi! I’m Ben, a queer trans masc artist, ceramicist and events facilitator based here in Manchester!

My work focuses on trans masc bodies, intimacy, kink and sex and I’m super excited to be a part of Manchester Fetish Weekend and get involved with the creative events that are going to be taking place!

A Message From Dan

Hi to all our fabulous fetish friends!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to our fantastic community, the love everyone has shown us truly fills our hearts. We are super excited for the first inclusive Manchester Fetish Weekend and to meet you all! In the lead-up, I wanted to give you all an update.

Firstly, we are working hard to create an event that accommodated everyone and caters for as many fetishes and kinks as possible. With licensing and health and safety considerations, this is a substantial and challenging task, but we are working closely with venues and relevant organizations to make this better for the whole community in Manchester.

We are also preparing our venues and hosts to ensure safety and safeguarding training is provided to all staff and volunteers. Our fetish and kink training is in audio, visual and signed formats that will benefit future community events and everyone participates in these spaces.

Secondly, our DMs and emails are always open to any events, organizations and venues interested in working alongside us and our partners to help bring the community together in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming collective. We also know you are super excited to meet the team, and we will be out and about meeting some of you soon.

Lastly, please remember the team putting the event together is a group of volunteer kinksters who are genuinely passionate about our community and putting on an event that puts this at its heart.

The team have risked a lot tying to make an amazing weekend with limited financial backing and invested their money to build an event that makes a difference and brings everyone together. Community is our motivation and money will never be a driving factor for this weekend.

While we work towards the event, we ask you to give us your open and honest feedback, be nice to one another and have a truly fabulous Manchester Fetish Weekend when it comes.

- Dan (MFW Lead) & the MFW Team
